Medicare Shared Savings and Pioneer ACO Results

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released their ACO performance results for both MSSP and Pioneer programs on August 25. These trailblazing provider organizations are bravely taking responsibility for the quality, cost and care of elderly and disabled Americans insured by Medicare. We’re proud of the work they are doing to support the higher quality, better-coordinated care that improves the health and well-being of Americans. Collectively, Medicare ACOs have generated more than $1.3 billion in Medicare savings since 2012.

Every day, these high-performing ACOs help patients avoid duplicate procedures, receive timely follow-up care , monitor chronic illnesses, ensure proper medication therapies, and so much more.

To all of the ACOs–PatientPing warmly congratulates you! Whether you received a bonus payment, just barely missed your minimum savings rate, or are on your way to generating savings in future periods, participating in these programs is no easy feat. Health system transformation is hard work and we applaud all you’re doing on the frontline to better the quality of care your communities receive. We admire organizations that demonstrate a strong commitment to improving the care of their patient populations.

We are privileged to serve many of you along your journey and look forward to extending our capabilities and services to usher in a new era of healthcare delivery.
