PatientPing Partners with Mercy Health to Enable Better Data Access and Improve Performance Under Risk-Based Contracts
Health Technology Company Helps Largest Health System in Ohio Manage Approximately 200,000 lives
BOSTON— (December 18, 2017) – PatientPing, a health technology company connecting providers to seamlessly coordinate patient care, today announced a new partnership with Mercy Health, a Catholic healthcare ministry serving Ohio and Kentucky, to enable real-time patient care coordination. With the PatientPing platform, Mercy Health can connect with both hospitals and post-acute care facilities to access and share data outside of their health system. This enables Mercy Health to support care transitions for their Medicare Advantage and Comprehensive Primary Care Plus (CPC+) patients, as well as those under their various bundled payment models. This real-time information allows the health system to take on more risk and improve performance under value-based care arrangements.

Mercy Health is one of the largest nonprofit health systems in the United States with more than 450 health facilities, including 23 hospitals in Ohio and Kentucky. Initially, PatientPing will onboard providers within the Toledo and Cincinnati regions and have already more than 140 skilled nursing facilities joining the platform. Mercy Health expects to cover approximately 200,000 lives with PatientPing’s platform. The rollout will occur over the next several months before expanding to additional regions in Ohio and Kentucky.
